History of Bundanoon Bundanoon could have been known as South Lambton, Barren Grounds, or possibly Jumping Rock as early as 1838, but the name stayed after the railway line to Goulburn was built through 'Jordan's Crossing' in 1868. Until that time, the area was mainly farmland and orchards.
