Our story and our mission

Homes.com.au was founded in 2018 by Pat Carbone, a property developer based in Sydney's west. After 20+ years in the industry, Pat felt that Australian's were copping a raw deal from the major real estate portals. Consumers were left with sites that did little that was new or innovative to help in the home buying experience, falling significantly behind overseas trends and technologies. Real Estate agents were constantly frustrated, getting their margins - and their businesses - squeezed further and further each year by increasing portal advertising costs.

So Homes.com.au was born with a very clear mission - to improve the home buying, renting and selling experience through innovation and technology - and to create competition and fairness for real estate agents in a highly monopolistic environment.

In four short years we've gone from an unknown brand, to a leading real estate platform with over 6,500 agencies on-board and growing daily.
