Many places claim ski-in, ski-out but often this is only possible immediately after a heavy dump or if you have Olympic skiing skills! We have stayed in many other locations in Falls Creek but nothing came close to the uncrowded Eagle and Summit chairlifts that give you quick access to the entire mountain. From learners with a few days lessons behind them to the die-hard double black experts, Alpine View is easily skied to for a coffee or lunch break, or at the end of an exhausting day on the slopes, with no long queues or over-crowded transporters. Skis, boards and boots are securely stored in your private lock-up in the ground floor facility, and Alpine View's large sauna is great for relaxing with family and friends while planning your evening. There are a number of restaurants and inns a short walk away, and the toboggan runs are adjacent. Kids are well catered for with snow bungee, Pete the Dragon show, playground and safe snow play areas just out front, and prime positioning for the weekly fireworks spectacular. The free over-snow transporter collects you from just 50m away and whisks you off to the supermarket, bottle shop, express chairlift and restaurants in the busier parts of town. For all the rental gear, passes and advice, Falls Creek Sports shop is just out the front as well. We will be keeping our other 2 bed apartment, for now but may sell it off in a few years. Both apartments are in the letting-pool and the on-site managers are there year round to take care of all bookings, cleaning and maintenance.
