Re sale of 2-4 Curlew Way Tweed Heads West 12th May 2015 Earlier in the year I needed to sell my duplex, a long term investment that I owned since brand new. I had moved intrastate and wasn’t sure who would do the right thing by me, I asked a good friend who lived in Tweed and they wholeheartedly recommended Anthony Davis. Anthony had every quality I was looking for, he was empathetic, compassionate, astute and really listened to what I needed, the time frame I was working towards and recommended viable options to achieve a sale at the best price, without it dragging on too long. I mentioned to Anthony that I had heard the adjacent duplex was coming up for sale any day and that they would likely be stiff competition for us, Anthony said he would monitor things and sure enough a couple of days later called me to say the other agent was conducting a two week auction campaign! He reassured me that everything would be alright and my duplex commenced marketing shortly after. Within the first week I received lots of valuable feedback from Anthony, which really helped reduce what can be a stressful process. Anthony explained he had met a buyer who had told him they wanted to buy one of the duplex’s, whichever was the cheapest. I simply asked Anthony to do the right thing by me. The upshot was that Anthony sold my duplex, not to that particular buyer but he found one only a few days later. Anthony called me, said he had qualified their offer and was holding a substantial deposit and a signed ‘Offer to Purchase’, he said he felt the buyer was rock solid and that if I accepted their offer, he felt the matter would proceed without a hitch. I agreed to the offer and before I knew it things were all settled. I really liked that Anthony didn’t try to push Auction at me or expensive marketing campaigns, and I noticed that his marketing is not about promoting his profile but was more of a focus on my property and that was important to me. The bottom line was I found out afterwards that Anthony achieved a lot more for my duplex than next door was sold for and they had chosen a major national franchise.
