Queensland Urban Utilities spokesperson, Michelle Cull, said nearly 7km of new pipeline had been laid alongside Forest Hill Fernvale Rd. Construction is now underway on the new treatment plant’s state-of-the-art membrane tank, which will purify the wastewater to the highest standards to protect the environment. Ms Cull said the $45 million Lowood-Fernvale sewer upgrade would double the capacity of the existing network, to cater for growth and development in Somerset.
