When I talk to buyers I hear the words "I wish" a lot. "I wish it was closer to transport", "I wish it had bigger living areas" and so on. In a lot of cases buyers are forced to make significant compromises when purchasing a home because they really struggle to find that ideal place to buy. I do a lot of appraisals on homes so I get to see a lot of properties and I am always running through a mental checklist of what will tick the boxes for the buyers out there. One unassuming day I stumbled across this home and I was very quickly excited about the possibilities. I was amazed to find it was a big house tucked away in a quiet street only a stones throw from Central Ringwood. The more I looked the more I found that I could tell buyers about. I discovered a modern bathroom, a big kitchen and two really big, light filled living areas. They were close enough to keep the family connected but separated enough to not have to live in each others pocket. Walking through the house I made note of the wood fire, the newly installed down lights, the polished floorboards and of course the air conditioning. I was suitably impressed and started to plan how I would get this information out to the people who appreciate it the most the buyers. Then the owner sprung a surprise! Outside he took me to a room where I could imagine as a perfect teenagers retreat or home office. It was big and had its own bathroom and separate entry and I just knew that the possibilities for this home had been significantly improved. I also found an awesome out door area where I am pretty sure you could fit about 40 people, all undercover with benches, BBQs and heaps of paving. Something like this would often leave the actual backyard short but this place still had plenty of room to move with space for a kick of the footy or the obligatory Summer game of backyard cricket.
