History of Albion Park Albion Park’s history started in 1821 when a section of the suburb was granted to Samuel Terry; a former convict turned into one of the territory’s richest men. During this period, he owned Terry’s Meadows Estate. The area was subsequently inherited by Terry’s nephew, John Terry Hughes, who later renamed Albion Park. From then, the suburb flourished with timber as its primary industry. This growth, however, halted in 1887 because of the establishment of the railway line.
