Overview Port Macquarie, New South Wales, is a seaside community in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local authority region. It is situated on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, approximately 390 kilometres (242 miles) north of Sydney and 570 kilometres (354 miles) south of Brisbane.
