Overview Predominantly a rural area, Baradunda is under the authority of the Albury Wodonga Council. It is located at the junction of the Yackandandah road and the Kiewa Valley Highway, which is located 10 km southeast of the city of Wodonga.
Living in Baradunda Baradunda is perched just 10km south of the New South Wales border, just west of Lake Hume, a fantastic place to spend the weekend! The suburb has a community centre built in 1991, a general store and a school that educates just 260 people every year. The Vitasoy factory is located in Baraduna and is a significant producer of soy milk and has expanded in 2011 due to increased demand.
History of Baradunda Baradunda was a rural town, and several German farm selectors hailing from South Australia were a part of this town. They began with the grazing of cattle and livestock farming. A school was established in 1880, and a memorial hall was built in 1955. An inter-denomination church was built in 1912, and specific timber industries have also been established over the years.
