Overview Bardon is a western suburb of Brisbane. It is a residential suburb that lies about 5 km northwest of the central business district of Brisbane. It is a leafy residential suburb that shares its borders with Red Hill, Ashgrove, Auchenflower, Mount Coot-tha, Toowong, The Gap, and Paddington. About 90% of Bardon’s residences are detached stand-alone homes.

History of Bardon What was once known as Upper Paddington was renamed in 925 by the Ithaca Town Council as Bardon. In 1885 the Ithaca Creek State School was founded. Over the years, many schools, colleges, and worship buildings were inaugurated while Bardon was developing and growing. With a good tramways network, Bardon was a well-connected suburb. As time went by and a lot more people took up residences here, roadways took over. There is so much traffic here that sometimes during peak hours there is traffic congestion as well. But, overall, Bardon is an excellent place to reside.
