Overview Beacon Hill is a suburb of northern Sydney, New South Wales, located 17 kilometres to the northeast of the Sydney CBD. Beacon Hill is bordered on the west by French Forest, on the east by Brookvale and Narraweena, on the south by Brookvale and Allambie Heights.

Beacon Hill is part of the Northern Beaches LGA. It covers an area of 2.52 square kilometres and had a population of 7,457 people (2016 census).

History of Beacon Hill There is not much information on the presence of local Aborigines in Beacon Hill except some aboriginal carvings found on the rocks in some portions of Red Hill.

Many of the houses in Beacon Hill were built in the 1950s. Many of the streets were named after places where Australian troops fought in World War II and some of the notable military men such as Lae Place, Goroka Place, and Owen Stanley Avenue.
