History of Bundaberg South In 1875, the Bundaberg South State was established but was later closed and divided into the Bundaberg South Boys State School and the Bundaberg South Girls and Infants State School. There were name changes in the latter years. Eventually, the two schools were merged in 1926, which is now called Bundaberg Central State School. Another historic school is the Bundaberg South State that was launched in 1891. Four years after, St Mary's Mission Hall was built. However, it was closed in 1989. And in 1912, the Bundaberg State High School was presented.
