History of Burdell QLD Burdell is a new housing neighbourhood next to Deeragun, located 15 kilometres west of Downtown Townsville. It was named after the Burdell clan, who constructed the Bohlevale farmhouse west of the Bohle River about 1910. The line donated property for the Bohlevale State Primary School, which is now the community school for Burdell and Deeragun, in 1911. Burdell has revealed his identity and made it official in 1991.
