Overview Castaways Beach is a seaside neighbourhood in the Queensland Shire of Noosa. The Coral Sea borders it on the east, while Lake Weyba borders it on the west. Castaways Beach is completely inside Noosa National Park, except for a short length of houses on the eastern shore.
From the neighbourhood, Castaways Creek runs south to the Coral Sea. Its mouth separates the beaches of Castaways and Marcus. It's 7 kilometres south of Noosa Heads. Castaways Beach had a community of 656 people in 2016.

History of Castaways Beach Castaways Beach was named after the Castaway Motel, the first building on this stretch of shore. Castaways Beach is located on David Low Way, between Burgess Creek and Peregian Beach, south of Sunrise Estate. The land was part of a lease agreement between the State Government and T M Burke that granted T M Burke development rights to construct the coastal highway and the company's relinquishment of freehold land north of Sunshine Beach at Alexandra Bay for inclusion in the Noosa National Park.
