History in Clyde North Clyde North was named after a watercourse between two early pastoral runs, the Clyde Creek. The stream flowed eastwards to the Koo Wee Rup Swamp. It is also believed that Clyde North took its name from the Clyde River in Scotland. Today, the area to the west of Berwick-Cranbourne Road is developing, mainly within the Urban Growth Boundary. The site is also experiencing a residential development with the name ‘Cascades On Clyde’. The construction of a new park is also under investigation.
