Overview Edenhope is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It lies 30 km from the South Australian boundary on the Wimmera Highway, in the District of West Wimmera local authority region. Furthermore, Edenhope has a community of 1,265 people, according to the 2016 census. Edenhope was created a few years later than neighbouring Apsley, with the Post Office established on July 16, 1864.

Living in Edenhope Edenhope has a small, positive environment service centre on the shores of Lake Wallace, encircled by lush and mountainous Wimmera area mainly utilised for livestock and crop yields. It is also the administrative headquarters of the West Wimmera District and situated on the Wimmera Road, barely 30 kilometres from the boundary with South Australia. Lake Wallace, which spans around 200 hectares, is just a five-minute journey from Edenhope's main road. Sailing, water sports, sunbathing, and glide for granting and trout are all popular activities in this location.

History of Edenhope Edenhope, a term derived from England, is a mix of "Hope," since the very first Europeans arrived in the territory have been the Hope people, who built the Lake Wallace agricultural estate in 1845, and "Eden," the title of the Scottish stream from whence the Hope family originated. Before European arrival, the region was dominated by members of the Madi Madi Native community. In 1862, an old part was planned and officially designated. The Edenhope Mechanic Institution and Charitable Books first opened its doors in 1889.
