Outlining the eastern section is Diamond Creek, which separates the area from its neighbouring community, Eltham. Both Eltham North and Eltham have the same postcode. The Wattletree Road connects with Ryans Road on the north and Main Road on the south.
Living in Eltham North Eltham North is a beautiful suburb in the far northeast section of Melbourne’s CBD. There are plenty of bus routes around, though the nearest train station is placed at Eltham. This is also where many dining and shopping options are stationed. As part of the region’s green wedge, the locality is surrounded by several reserves, bushlands, and playgrounds. History of Eltham North Eltham was once an outlying section of Eltham and was formerly called Glen Park. It was later separated in 1925 during the establishment of Eltham North Primary School. Before its current name, the suburb was also referred to as Northern Eltham. It was eventually renamed in 1934 by the former mayor. Also at this year, the Eltham North Post Office was opened. However, this was shut down in 1966.
