Overview Irymple is a suburb of the city of Mildura in the Sunraysia region. It is located 6 kilometres from Mildura city proper and 550 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. According to the 2016 census, it had a population of 5,325.

History of Irymple The area on which Irymple stands used to be one of Mildura's three pastoral leaseholds. It grew into an agricultural area with several fruit-packing companies operating in the Irymple Valley during the first half of the 20th century. Irymple's township was established in 1892 after the opening of its post office.
