Overview Irymple is a suburb of the city of Mildura in the Sunraysia region. It is located 6 kilometres from Mildura city proper and 550 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. According to the 2016 census, it had a population of 5,325.
Living in Irymple The suburb has two primary schools, Irymple Primary School and Irymple South Primary School. It also has a secondary school, Irymple Secondary College, and two P-10 schools, the Adventist Henderson College and Baptist Mildura Christian College.

History of Irymple The area on which Irymple stands used to be one of Mildura's three pastoral leaseholds. It grew into an agricultural area with several fruit-packing companies operating in the Irymple Valley during the first half of the 20th century. Irymple's township was established in 1892 after the opening of its post office.
