History of Jensen In 1968, rural subdivisions known as Cordelia Estate were put up on the market, then known as Thuringowa Shire. The area was later renamed Jensen and incorporated by the Governor Council on 27 July 1991. Its boundaries were amended by the Minister for Natural Resources and Minister for Mines on 28 February 2003. Jensen was gazetted on 21 November 2008 due to the council amalgamations under the Local Government Reform Implementation Act of 2007.
