Overview Mallacoota comes under the Eastern Gippsland region in Victoria, Australia. It’s officially Victoria’s East Coast’s last suburb before the border with New South Wales.

This small suburb has gained popularity as a holiday spot due to surfing, birdwatching, fishing, boating, and walking the wilderness coast.

Living in Mallacoota In accordance with the 2016 census, it had 1063 people, although at the time of holidays, specifically Christmas and Easter, it escalates by roughly 8,000. Mallacoota has a tropical and coastal climate almost all year round. It’s famous for its Croajingolong National Park, abalone industry, wildflowers, inlet estuary, and birdlife. At the Mallacoota Gold and Country Club’s course, the Golfers play.

History of Mallacoota Previously this suburb was a part of the Bidhawal people’s territory. In 1841, under Captain John Stevenson’s direction, Shore-based whaling probably took place in Mallacoota. The 1830s marked the arrival of the settlers, and in 1854, on the close by Gabo island, the installation of a little timber lighthouse took place, and commercial fishing got well established by the 1880s. The close-by town, Genoa and Mallacoota, faced a ‘significant impact’ by the fires in the East Gippsland region in the December of 2019.
