History of Milboo North Milboo was settled in the 1870s. The timbers in Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans), mainly from medium-sized to extremely tall forest trees, attracted the timber getters to the area. In 1886, the original railway branch line running from Morwell to Mirboo North was built. The last train ran in 1974.
