Overview Mount Pleasant is a suburb located approximately 6 km from the city of Wollongong. This is a hilly suburb as it is situated within the northern flank of Mount Keira and extends to the Illawarra escarpment. This suburb is exclusively residential with a population of 1,370 as per the 2016 census. Its neighbouring suburbs include Balgownie, Keiraville, Mount Keira, Mount Ousley, and Fairy Meadow.
