History of Mount Pritchard The original settlers of Mount Pritchard were the Cabrogal people. This clan resided in the area, including a large part of Fairfield. Before it was called Mount Pritchard, the place was referred to as Mount Misery because of a narrative about an early group of people who travelled and camped with bullocks and got lost, ending up in misery.
