History of Nyora Approximately in September 1890, the Post Office was opened, and it was a replacement to an office at the Lang Lang East and opened in 1885. ‘Something in the Air, the famous program on ABC TV, featured Nyora’s General store and railway station. The formation of its football club took place in 1877; it was the winner of eleven senior premierships. In the 2006 and 2007 Ellinbank and District Football league, the club achieved notable success at late winning premierships. It got so popularized that it was frequently called the ‘premiership city’.
