It is bordered by several neighbouring suburbs such as Ipswich, Eastern Heights, Churchill, Swanbank, Flinders View, Blackstone, and Silkstone.

History of Raceview The name of this suburb is inspired by the presence of an early racecourse at the end of Grange Road. This racecourse was moved to Bundamba. Before its residential development, this suburb was a farm known as Plough Station.
