Overview Rowville is a neighbourhood of the Central Business District in Melbourne, approximately 26 kilometres southeast. It is roughly centred around the junction of Wellington and Stud Roads. In the 1950s and 1960s, an electrical terminal station and the Stamford Hotel were constructed in the middle of a rural terrain but foreshadowed future development.

Living in Rowville Rowville grew dramatically, particularly in terms of residential and small production lines. Along with many of Melbourne's outlying suburbs, Rowville is still evolving culturally. Stud Park Shopping Center is Rowville's primary commercial hub on the junction of Stud Road and Fulham Road. Also, it has more than 60 specialty businesses, comprising two salons, a drugstore, two tourism boards, financial institutions, a veterinarian, and a variety of food establishments. Furthermore, in Rowville, there are leagues for football, netball and basketball, netball, a Little Athletics and Racing Club, dancing courses, and more. History of Rowville Rowville was first established by Europeans in 1838 as part of Narre Warren and then Lysterfield. The gently sloping, thinly wooded terrain was ideal for pasture. There was no preparation for a town or community, and the first post office did not operate until 1902. Furthermore, the Row family, who purchased the Stamford Parkland, inspired the name Rowville. The Stamford homestead (1882) is located off Stud Road at the end of Emmeline Lane.
