Overview Toormina is a creekside suburb in the Coffs Harbour City. Located on the eastern section of New South Wales, the area is bundled up by Boambee East on the northwest, Sawtell on the east, and Bonville on the south. Pacific Highway is stationed at the western section while Sawtell Road, Hogbin Drive, and Toormina Road pass. Coffs Harbour covers the northern expanse and is connected by Hogbin Drive.
Living in Toormina Toormina is surrounded not just by scenic areas but also by the Boambee Creek on the north. This enhances the serene atmosphere of the suburb that makes it ideal for small families with kids and even professionals working in the city. One of the major attractions is the Boambee Bay Resort; a 4-star hotel fringed with beautiful water views and leisure spots. History of Toormina The development of Toormina started during the 1980s when Patrick Hargraves owned and expanded a section of land between Coffs Harbour and Sawtell. The suburb's name derived from the suggestions of the residents who opted for “Taormina”. It eventually became Toormina with the approval of Hargraves.
