It is located more than 3 km west of the Rockhampton city centre and is bordered by a few other suburbs, including Pink Lily, Wandal, The Range, and Fairy Bower.

The central and western portion of this suburb is where the Rockhampton Airport was built on. The residential area is focused on the eastern part of the suburb.
