History of Wright Wright was named in honour of Judith Arundell Wright, a poet, environmentalist and Aboriginal rights advocate. The first house in Wright was completely constructed in 2011. Wright was one of the first suburbs to be built in the Molonglo Valley region, home to more than 5000 people. Many new flats were built in the suburb in December 2015.
