History of Boneo Buninyong, a narrow agricultural enterprise undertaken by the Meyricks family in 1840, inspired the name of Boneo, which has a wide variety of scenery. Formerly cultivated with natural trees, harvesting for firewood and a severe fire in the 1890s converted it to grasslands, which was harmed by rabbit infestation.
