Overview Cannons Creek is a suburb of Victoria, Australia. This little foreshore town lies close to Westernport Bay, east of the Mornington Peninsula.
The Melbourne CBD is 54 kilometres northwest of Cannons Creek, with Mornington only 27km west. Cannons Creek is surrounded by Chinaman Island, Blind Bight, Warneet and Deavon Meadows. As per the 2016 census, there were 647 residents of Cannons Creek.

Most of the residential dwellings in Cannons Creek are on the southern side of the suburb, near the waterfront. History of Cannons Creek Its name’s origin is unclear, and it can probably be from the farm of the Cannon family at the creek’s head. For decades, Tooradin, the close by the town, had been a famous fishing spot, when in the 1920s, visitors arrived in Cannons Creek. In 1940, the initial house was built. The 1960s marked an increase in visitation and house building. It had 557 people according to the 2011 census and 446 people as per the 2001 census.
