History of Eagle Point Eagle Park is known for the Bushy Park massacres of local Gunai Aboriginal people. During the 1840s, Angus McMillan and his men killed many Gunai people and made the town their headquarters for the Border Police under Commissioner Tyers. They also joined hands with the Native Police force to conduct regular raids upon the camps of Gunai people across the region.
