History of East Corrimal The early residents of East Corrimal were Harriet Overington, his family, and James Martin. Overington used the land in 1827 for pasturing sheep while Martin, when granted 50 acres of land in 1830, sold the same to Dr George Coz 10 years later. In 1839, East Corrimal was officially recognised as a place following the transfer of 50 acres of land to Hugh Kennedy.
