History of Eden Park In 1854 a 400-hectares of land northeast of Whittlesea was purchased. A homestead was built in this area, which was called Breadalbane. In 1888, the property was subdivided and then was sold as the Eden Park Estate. The area was promoted as a destination to “escape the city”.
The town was at its peak in the early to mid-1900s, where a school, a post office and a police station operated here.
Unfortunately, the land here was prone to soil erosion, which led to many settlers leaving the town.
