History of Glenmore Park The Muloga Aboriginal hunter-gatherers populated Glenmore Park before the arrival of the British. In the late 1810s, John Jamison set up a vast agricultural estate and called it Regentville. Henry Cox, another prominent landowner and son of famous British explorer William Cox, built another mansion named Glenmore there in 1825.
The suburb gradually developed around these two estates and became known as Glenmore after Cox's residence. The 1970s and 80s saw a real estate boom in the area, and the suburb was called Peachtree. However, the Penrith city council changed the name to Glenmore Park.
