Overview Jerrabomberra is a suburb that is part of the local government area of Queanbeyan in southeast New South Wales. The town has three components: The Park, The Heights, and Lakeview and the first two are separated by the Edwin Land Parkway. Jerrabomberra’s total population has reached 9,508 in the 2016 census.

History of Jerrabomberra The name ‘Jerrabomberra’ originated from a local Aboriginal place which means ‘boy frightened by storm’. The Palmer family was the first family to settle in the area before it got subdivided into smaller farms in the late 1890s. In 1987, the Jerrabomberra Estates, Ltd. initiated the construction of the town into a master-planned community. They collaborated with Col Alexander and Kerry Stokes to carry out the plan, and today, Jerrabomberra has developed into a residential suburb with plenty of community amenities.
