It is located 10 km from Gladstone Central and 115 km from Rockhampton. Meanwhile, it is 515 km from the city of Brisbane. There are many surrounding suburbs to Kirkwood, including Clinton, Byellee, New Auckland, Telina, Glen Eden, Beecher, Burua, and O’Connell.
Living in Kirkwood The town of Kirkwood is bordered by Auckland Creek to the east and is accessible via Kirkwood Road. It sits south of the Gladstone city centre and comprises residential estates, particularly in the northern part of this town.
As of 2020, some parts of Kirkwood are undeveloped and used mainly for grazing purposes. But the real estate industry of Kirkwood is considered as having significant potential and is going to become the newest suburb in Gladstone. Due to the limited residential developments in the area, there are no schools in this town.
