Overview Marcoola is a coastal suburb and locality that belongs to the Sunshine Coast Region local government area in Queensland. A portion of the Mount Coolum national park is included within the boundaries of this suburb. It is bordered by the Maroochy River and a part of the Maroochy River Catchment. A few suburbs bind Marcoola like Bli Bli, Pacific Paradise, and Mudjimba. The Sunshine Coast Airport is located just outside the boundary of this suburb.
Living in Marcoola Marcoola is a beautiful and picturesque seaside suburb. Due to its location, most of the homes in the suburb feature American-style architecture as they are made up mostly of weatherboard homes. There are also lots of modern homes in the town. History of Marcoola According to historical records, the name Marcoola is actually a coined name. It is believed to be a combination of two distinct geographical features in the area: MAR from the town of Maroochydore and COOL from Mount Coolum.
