Overview Marong is a predominantly rural suburb on the Calder Highway. It is located 13 kilometres west of Bendigo. Marong, due to its location, has been a centre of administration for the rural area around. It is nearby Bendigo, Maiden Gully, Lockwood and Golden Square.
