History of Meadow Heights The area on which Meadow Heights was built was formerly known as Coolaroo. It went through a property boom in the late 1980s through the early 1990s due to the increased demand for housing in the area. The Meadow Heights post office opened on 6 March 1995. Earlier, the suburb was a part of the Broadmeadows local government area.
