Overview Miami is a small coastal suburb between Burleigh Heads and Nobby's Beach on Gold Coast, Queensland. It is located on the Gold Coast Highway, approximately seven kilometres south of Surfers Paradise and seventeen kilometres north of the Queensland boundary at Coolangatta. It is within the local government area of the City of Gold Coast. With reference to the 2016 census, Miami had 6,843 inhabitants during the time.

Living in Miami Miami is known for its laid back atmosphere as the seaside walking tracks are filled with walkers, cyclists, and joggers. Some of its famous attractions are the beautiful Miami beach patrolled by lifeguard towers to ensure safety. Also, Mick Schamburg Park, where people can get an incredible view of the beach, is famous for taking in events such as weddings. The park is right across from Ed Hardy Park, where some barbecue tables are lined up. Sports facilities, health centres, retirement villages, and two state schools are available within the suburb. The housing ranges from beach houses to fibro cottages to big luxurious homes. The transportation is serviced by public buses.

History of Miami Miami's history can be traced back to the early 1920s when prospective investors examined 'Miami Shore' as the name of a new real estate development on North Burleigh. The community developed following the Great Depression, with tennis courts and the Pizzey Park Sporting Complex.
