Overview Millbank is a suburb in the Bundaberg region that sits along the east side of the Burnett River. Fragments of the Palmers Creek also pass through the area, while Takalvan Street serves as the boundary line from Svensson Heights. In 2016, it had a population of 2,512 residents.
Living in Millbank As a mixed-used territory, Millbank’s residents are a combination of working professionals, families, and retirees. It’s a lovely, peaceful suburb with several local shops and small restaurants, primarily stationed within the suburb centre. Whilst it is excellent for the families, there are no schools within the neighbourhood.

History of Millbank Back in 1869, the streets of Maryborough, Woondooma, Woongarra, and McLean (currently the area of Bundaberg Central) were allocated for the establishment of a cemetery. In the long run, it was believed that a new burial location must be added, leading to the creation of the Bundaberg General cemetery in 1873, which is now a part of Millbank’s zone.
