Overview Avoca is a riverside suburb within the Bundaberg region. It is marked off by the Millbank on the east, Kensington on the south, Branyan on the west, and Burnett River on the north. Branyan Road crosses the centre of the locality. As of 2016, it is inhabited by 4,904 people.

Since there is no secondary school in the area, most residents enrol in the nearby schools located in Bundaberg South.
