Overview Avoca is a riverside suburb within the Bundaberg region. It is marked off by the Millbank on the east, Kensington on the south, Branyan on the west, and Burnett River on the north. Branyan Road crosses the centre of the locality. As of 2016, it is inhabited by 4,904 people.

History of Avoca In 1980, the Avoca State School was officially opened. It served as the primary educational facility in the suburb and is still existent up to now. Over the years, the school has incorporated a lot of developments, including a unique educational program. Since there is no secondary school in the area, most residents enrol in the nearby schools located in Bundaberg South.
