In 1916, Veronica and James Dunkley settled in Mount Hutton, which was then called Warners Bay Road, Charlestown. The Dunkley’s residence was a venue for Progress Association meetings. Here, Mr Dunkley suggested naming the area as Mount Hutton, after Dr Hutton, who also was a resident.
