Based on the 2016 census, it has a recorded population of 30,116.

History of Naremburn Previously called Central Township, Naremburn has been existent since the 1800s. However, the earliest recount of the suburb was in 1794, where a section of the town was given to Peter Dargan and Humphrey Evans. And though the exact origin of its name is unknown, some say it came from the aboriginal words “narra burren”, which means “forked creek”.
