Based on the 2016 census, it has a recorded population of 30,116.

History of Naremburn Previously called Central Township, Naremburn has been existent since the 1800s. However, the earliest recount of the suburb was in 1794, where a section of the town was given to Peter Dargan and Humphrey Evans. Subsequently, the area was included in the original plan for a 140-acre public recreation in 1869. And though the exact origin of its name is unknown, some say it came from the aboriginal words “narra burren”, which means “forked creek”.
