Overview Petrie Terrace is an inner suburb located in Brisbane City, Queensland, Australia. What makes it interesting is the proximity (2km) to Brisbane’s CBD. Hale Street is the precinct border in the west, while Countess Street borders the east. Milton Road borders the south, and the Musgrave Road borders the north. The population of the inner suburb as per the 2016 census is 1,124.

History of Petrie Terrace The precinct received its name from the road of the same name, which was named after the Petrie family. In 1865, the Queensland Government sold around 31 town lots around the region. In December the same year, Lincoln Estate, a subdivision of Parish of Enoggera, County of Stanley, was advertised for auction by Arthur Martin & Co.
