History of Petrie Terrace The precinct received its name from the road of the same name, which was named after the Petrie family. In 1865, the Queensland Government sold around 31 town lots around the region. In December the same year, Lincoln Estate, a subdivision of Parish of Enoggera, County of Stanley, was advertised for auction by Arthur Martin & Co.
