Overview River Heads is a suburb nestled on a narrow peninsula within the Fraser Coast Region, Queensland. It is 15 minutes from Hervey Bay and is surrounded by the communities of Booral and Susan River. River Heads Road splits the expanse into eastern and western sections.

And because of its location, it serves as a primary departure point for those visiting the famous Fraser Island.
