History of Victoria Park The history of the town dates back to the pre-European settlement. In 1829 the first land grants were issued as the first non-Indigenous people settled in the area. It was initially established in 1894. But before closely resuming its original boundaries in 1994 and being proclaimed an independent municipality later on, it was absorbed into the City of Perth in 1917.
