Overview Westleigh is a suburb in the Upper North Shore region of Sydney within the LGA of Hornsby Shire. It is located 22 kilometres away from the Sydney central business district. The suburbs around Westleigh are Dural, Hornsby, Cherrybrook, Thornleigh, and Pennant Hills.
As per the 2016 census, Westleigh is home to 4,469 residents.

Before its development, there were plenty of citrus orchards in Westleigh with a handful of homes on acreages of land. Some streets in the suburb are named after Australian trees as the land was originally heavily timbered.
