Overview Belrose is a suburb in the Northern Beaches Council. Because of its location, it is also a part of the Forest District. The area is located 19 km northeast of Sydney CBD, with a population of 32,487 according to the 2016 census. A large portion on the west is covered by The Cascades and the Heath and Bare Creek trails. Fireclay Gully and Frenchs Creek also traverse through these lush lands. Moreover, the Mona Vale Road passes the north section of the community, extending to other localities.

Living in Belrose Tucked within Sydney’s Northern Beaches region, Belrose is a quiet suburb suitable for those who prefer a more peaceful environment. History of Belrose Belrose was said to acquire its name from the flowers that were prevalent in the suburb. These were Christmas Bell and Bush Rose. Accordingly, one of the earliest structures in the area was the Belrose Post Office. This was established in 1923 but was shut down in 1986. Eventually, the Belrose West Post Office was completed in 1969 and is still used by the locals.
